Preparing for your interview

Dress to Impress

Smart presentation makes the strongest first impression in a corporate environment while also naturally boosting your confidence.

Know your CV

While it may seem obvious, being knowledgeable about the information on your CV can really bring your recorded experiences to life.

Research the company

Employers want to see enthusiasm and passion from you, they want to know that you are interested in the company. By researching the company and even the team, you can come across as someone who shows genuine interest. Just be careful not to only list facts and figures.

Strengths and weaknesses

This is a question that you should prepare to be asked. What can you bring to the company? Giving positive feedback from a previous employer to validate your attributes is always a good idea. When it comes to weaknesses, this needs to be carefully constructed as to highlight an attribute you are developing.

Body language

Getting your passion and personality across also applies to your body language. Good posture, eye contact and a confident but positive demeanour is a perfect start. Remember, your interviewer is looking to visualise you fitting in with the team.

Questions

Always remember to have a few questions about the role or company ready. This both demonstrates your interest in the role and ensures that the role is right for you.

Be on time

This is vitally important. Always ensure that you arrive on time, or up to 15 minutes early. In the event that you are late due to delays or traffic etc., be sure to apologise and ideally ring us so we can let the client know.
